Technical Support Manager

Job Description
We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Manager to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody wanting a challenge and to play a part in building WindCare into the leading service provider in the UK wind sector.

Duties include but not limited to:
– Technical support to Operations Director
– Project management (groundworks, installs and planned maintenance)
– Site supervision when required
– Drawing 2D Auto Cad
– Procurement
– Office management and admin

You will be based out of our office in Pickering, North Yorkshire.

You will report to the Operations Director and will be technical first point of contact with clients throughout key projects.

You will have a clean driving licence and be willing to work away from home as required.

Desired Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with practical experience in civil and/or structural engineering and preferably wind turbine foundations. Our ideal candidate will have some mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as being competent using Auto Cad and interpreting drawings. Excellent communication, IT and organisational skills are essential.

Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and experience of preparing risk assessments, method statement and safe working practices would be beneficial as would an ability (or wish) to work at heights.

We offer national support to wind turbine manufacturers and distributors across the UK and have in-house teams of engineers specialising in groundworks, mechanical/electrical installations and long-term O&M. In addition to our site work, we build and tests G59/2 panels as well as offering bespoke engineering solutions from our 12,000Sq. Ft fully tooled fabrication workshop.
